About BLAQ INHABITED

Blaq Inhabited is a multimedia series that intimately explores how black, queer people identify with, and develop a sense of belonging to places. Centering blackness and queerness, it questions how and why we seek, take up, and craft spaces beyond physical and social boundaries. The aim is to understand how doing so enhances our experiences, our work, and our well-being.

ABOUT THE CREATOR

Bummah Ndeh is a queer, Cameroonian-American photographer and storyteller based in the Washington, D.C. Metro area. Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, he moved to Atlanta to attend Morehouse College. As a student organizer he discovered a passion for documenting Black Queer life, and history. Now a consultant, and avid-traveller, he hopes to expand this work to the greater African diaspora, inspiring others to capture the beauty in their daily experiences, and to engage with their communities in intimate ways.
